About Lake Street Dive

The band's fourth album, Bad Self Portraits (2014), debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and drew praise from AllMusic for Price's "resonant, old-school singing." Side Pony (2016) reached number one on the Alternative Albums chart, and Free Yourself Up (2018), featuring the single "Good Kisser," reached number eight on the Billboard 200. The band's 2024 album, Good Together, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

Keyboardist Akie Bermiss joined the group in 2017, expanding its sound. Founding member Olson departed in 2021 after sixteen years with the band, and guitarist James Cornelison joined the same year to fill his role. An early, informally filmed cover of a Jackson 5 song spread widely online, introducing the band to a much larger audience than its studio recordings had reached.

Now based in Brooklyn, Lake Street Dive continues to perform as a five-piece featuring Price, Kearney, Calabrese, Bermiss and Cornelison, touring across North America, Australia and Europe and building on the recognition brought by its 2025 Grammy nomination.
