Lil Kim
Lil' Kim, born Kimberly Denise Jones on July 11, 1974, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, is an American rapper. She was discovered by the Notorious B.I.G. and joined his group Junior M.A.F.I.A. in 1994, launching a solo career that made her one of the defining voices of East Coast hip-hop in the 1990s.

About Lil Kim
Her 1996 debut album, Hard Core, was the highest-charting debut by a female rapper at the time and established her explicit, unapologetic lyrical style. She followed it with The Notorious K.I.M. (2000), La Bella Mafia (2003), The Naked Truth (2005), and 9 (2019). Lil' Kim won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2001 and was ranked among VH1's 100 Greatest Women in Music in 2012. She is regarded as one of the best-selling female rappers of all time, with tens of millions of records sold.
Beyond music, Lil' Kim became a fashion fixture, credited with popularizing intricate nail art through her 1999 "Money Nails" design, and was known for her feuds with rappers including Foxy Brown and Nicki Minaj. In 2005 she was convicted of perjury related to a 2001 shooting outside a New York radio station and served just over a year in federal prison.
She remains active as a performer and recording artist, celebrated as one of the pioneers of sex-positive feminism in hip-hop.
