Little Simz
Little Simz is the stage name of Simbiatu "Simbi" Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, an English rapper born February 23, 1994, in Islington, London, to Nigerian parents of Yoruba descent. Working independently for much of her early career, she released the albums A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons (2015) and Stillness in Wonderland (2016) before her sound, which draws on grime alongside reggae, blues, and jazz-inflected R&B, reached a wider audience.

About Little Simz
Her 2019 album Grey Area earned a Mercury Prize nomination and won both an Ivor Novello Award and an NME Award. Its follow-up, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert (2021), was a critical breakthrough that won the 2022 Mercury Prize and earned Little Simz the Brit Award for Best New Artist. She has since released No Thank You (2022) and Lotus (2025).
Beyond music, Little Simz has built a parallel acting career, most notably playing Shelley in the Netflix revival of Top Boy and appearing in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. She has cited Lauryn Hill, Nas, and Kendrick Lamar among her influences.
In recent years she has continued to expand her profile through high-profile collaborations and performances, including a featured vocal on Coldplay's "We Pray" (2024) and a widely praised headline set at Glastonbury in 2024.
