Maddie Zahm
Maddie Zahm is an American singer-songwriter born March 7, 1998, and raised in Boise, Idaho, where she grew up singing, playing guitar and piano, and leading worship within a church community. At eighteen she auditioned for the sixteenth season of American Idol, advancing to the show's Showcase round before elimination.

About Maddie Zahm
After returning to Idaho and working as a special education teacher, Zahm relocated to Los Angeles to pursue country-pop songwriting, where publisher Rachel Wein at Prescription Songs encouraged her toward more personal material. That shift produced her 2022 EP You Might Not Like Her, led by the singles "Fat Funny Friend," written with fellow Idol alumna Catie Turner, and "If It's Not God."
Her songs address body image, leaving organized religion and coming out as queer, delivered in what critics have called an emotionally direct, diaristic style. She followed the EP with her full-length album Now That I've Been Honest in 2023, continuing to write about a personal journey she describes as ongoing rather than resolved.
