Periphery
Periphery are an American progressive metal band formed in Washington, D.C. in 2005 by guitarist Misha Mansoor, who first built a following through online music forums before assembling a full band. The current lineup features Mansoor alongside guitarists Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb, drummer Matt Halpern, and vocalist Spencer Sotelo, who joined in 2010; Holcomb became a permanent member the following year.

About Periphery
The band's sound blends progressive metal with djent and progressive metalcore, and they are widely regarded as pioneers of the djent movement, known for intricate polyrhythms and layered guitar work alongside more melodic songwriting.
Periphery have released eight studio albums, beginning with their self-titled debut in 2010 and continuing through Periphery II: This Time It's Personal, the double album Juggernaut: Alpha/Omega, Periphery III: Select Difficulty, Periphery IV: Hail Stan, and Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre. Their song "The Price Is Wrong" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance.
The band has toured extensively since forming, supporting acts including Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me, and Fear Factory, building a live reputation on the technical, high-energy character of their recorded material.
