Sombr
Sombr, born Shane Michael Boose on July 5, 2005, in Manhattan, New York, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He created his stage name by combining his initials with the somber mood he associated with his early songwriting. He released his debut single, Nothing Left to Say, in October 2021, and his debut EP, In Another Life, followed in 2023 through Warner Records and his own imprint.

About Sombr
His music blends indie rock and alternative pop, built around confessional lyrics and lo-fi, guitar-driven production. He broke through in 2025 when the singles Back to Friends and Undressed went viral on TikTok, both reaching the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and charting in the top 10 in several countries. His debut studio album, I Barely Know Her, was released in August 2025.
Sombr won the award for Best Alternative Video for Back to Friends at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, appeared on Billboard's 21 Under 21 list, and received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
He continues to record and tour, with sold-out dates across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through 2026, and released the single My Body Isn't Ready in June 2026.
