About Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers have won two Super Bowl titles: Super Bowl XXXVII following the 2002 season, a rout of the Oakland Raiders under head coach Jon Gruden, and Super Bowl LV following the 2020 season, becoming the first team to win a Super Bowl played at its own home field. They are one of only two NFL franchises with multiple Super Bowl appearances and no losses. Hall of Famers Lee Roy Selmon, Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks rank among the most decorated players in franchise history.
Tampa Bay endured a difficult early era, including a winless first season in 1976 and roughly two decades of mostly losing records, before Monte Kiffin's "Tampa 2" scheme under head coach Tony Dungy turned the franchise into a consistent contender in the late 1990s. Quarterback Tom Brady joined the team in 2020 and led it to its second championship in his first season with the club.
Under head coach Todd Bowles, the Buccaneers have won four consecutive NFC South titles since 2021, with quarterback Baker Mayfield leading the offense since Brady's retirement. The franchise continues to be based in Tampa, where it has played throughout its history.
