TLC
TLC is an American girl group formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1990. The group takes its name from the first initials of founding members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, who replaced original member Crystal Jones shortly after formation. Manager Pebbles Reid helped secure the trio's deal with LaFace Records, where producers including Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri and Babyface shaped their blend of new jack swing, hip hop and R&B.

About TLC
The group's second album, CrazySexyCool (1994), sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and became one of the best-selling albums by a girl group, while FanMail (1999) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Singles "Creep," "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs" and "Unpretty" all topped the Billboard Hot 100. TLC has won five Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in 2022.
Lopes died in a car accident in Honduras in 2002, after which Watkins and Thomas continued as a duo, releasing 3D later that year as a tribute to her. The pair went on to release a self-titled fifth album, TLC, in 2017, funded partly through a crowdfunding campaign, and have continued to perform their catalogue of hits on tour.
