Guided Tours at B-MAD, Berardo Art Deco Museum

Housed in the former summer residence of the Marquis of Abrantes in Alcântara, the B-MAD – Berardo Art Deco Museum offers guided tours through its collection of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco works. Visitors can explore period rooms that recreate early 20th-century residential settings, showcasing pieces by renowned designers such as Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, René Lalique, and Jules Leleu.

The museum also highlights Portuguese artists like sculptor Ernesto Canto da Maya and painter Eloy de Jesus Pereira, alongside original Ruhlmann drawings for Casa de Serralves and silverware designs from the former Reis e Filhos workshop. A reception area and shop open onto a secret garden with a terrace, where guests can enjoy wines from Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal amid the ambiance of the Roaring Twenties.

Guided tours are available daily in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a maximum of 15 participants per group. The museum is closed on January 1 and December 25, and advance booking is required.
